Introducing The CWO
“Supporting Women in to political life since 1919”. As the oldest politically affiliated female organisation in the world we are the pipeline for women in the party to…
- We support women into elected office through training, mentoring, and networking. From Councillors, Police Crime Commissionaires, to MPs and all elected roles in the Party.
- Represent women in the Party, thank them for the hard work they do and help women navigate our Party structures
- Reach out to women voters beyond politics, and engage with their concerns through policy forums, campaigns and lobbying and work with NGOs
If you are interested in getting your ideas heard in Parliament, you’ll love our “Tell No10” events. If you want to understand what it takes to stand for office or are ready to start your journey, then CWO Development’s superb training is for you (men love it too!). If attending events is your thing, in 2020 we hosted talks on varied subjects including “The Journey from new MP to new Minister” with Chloe Smith MP (Norwich North), “International Trading in 2021” with Jackie Doyle-Price MP (Thurrock), “Policing in the 21st Century” with the PCC candidates for Bedfordshire (Festus Akinbusoye) and Cambridgeshire (Darryl Preston) and “Historical Blue Plaques” with Cambridge Past, Present & Future. Maybe you simply want to chat with like-minded women. Either way I can’t wait to hear from you!
